We're Mark and Becca Sperry, the husband-and-wife operation behind the wax. Our family has been keeping bees since the 1920's.

Mark's grandpa (P. Everett Sperry) was actually a Kansas state representative. In the 70’s, he wrote letters to Congress on behalf of the U.S. honey producer, trying to get better prices for the honey produced here in the USA.
He raised a few hives of bees on his farm, as well as various other animals. His sons Ken and Bryan started Sperry Apiaries back in 1961. Mark purchased the business from Ken (his dad) in 1993, and we run it right here in North Dakota to this day.

Most honey on shelves is overly processed, leaving it stripped of real flavor and nutrients. We keep ours raw and unfiltered, just as it comes from the hive in North Dakota, with natural pollen, enzymes, and richness intact. It spreads thick, stirs smooth, and brings bold flavor to every use.
