Some places are simply different.
High above Utah’s valleys, where alpine meadows stretch across the mountains and wildflowers bloom beneath endless skies, our bees forage in one of the most remote and untouched landscapes we’ve ever had the privilege to steward.
High Uinta Alpine Wilderness Raw Honey is more than a seasonal harvest.
It represents the future of Homers Honeybee.
Our apiaries are intentionally located more than five miles from agricultural production, residential development, and the routine spray programs common in more populated landscapes. Instead, they sit within a region where conservation, habitat restoration, and healthy ecosystems remain the priority.
This is the foundation of what we call our Clean Honey Initiative.
We believe healthier forage creates healthier bees,
And healthier bees create extraordinary honey.
Throughout the short alpine summer, our colonies gather nectar from a remarkable diversity of native wildflowers, mountain clover, and high-elevation flowering plants found only in Utah’s wilderness.
The result is a beautifully light honey with delicate floral notes, exceptional clarity, and a clean, elegant finish that reflects the purity of the landscape itself.
Every jar is 100% raw, unheated, and unfiltered, preserving the naturally occurring enzymes, antioxidants, trace minerals, beneficial plant compounds, and seasonal pollen that make raw honey so remarkable.
This isn’t simply honey harvested from the mountains.
It’s honey produced in a place where healthy landscapes, thriving pollinators, and responsible stewardship come together.

No additives. No blending. No artificial ingredients. Just honey, exactly as the bees made it.Whether enjoyed by the spoonful, paired with artisan cheeses, drizzled over fresh fruit, or stirred into tea, High Uinta Alpine Wilderness Raw Honey is our purest expression of place, season, and stewardship.
The Terroir
Some honeys are shaped by agriculture.
Others are shaped by wilderness.
High Uinta is shaped by elevation.
Each summer, snowmelt feeds alpine meadows that burst into bloom for only a few precious weeks. Native wildflowers, mountain clover, and high-country flowering plants provide a diverse nectar source unlike anywhere else in Utah.
The cool mountain nights, intense alpine sunshine, pristine water, and remarkably short growing season create a honey with exceptional delicacy, brightness, and complexity.
Just as important is what surrounds these bees.
Our apiaries are intentionally located far from large-scale agriculture, residential neighborhoods, and routine pesticide applications. The surrounding landscape is managed with a shared commitment to conservation, restoration, and bringing the land back to life, creating an environment where both pollinators and native ecosystems can thrive.
Every season tells a different story.
Snowpack influences bloom timing.
Summer rains determine nectar flow.
Wildflowers change with elevation and weather.
No two harvests are ever identical.
That is the beauty of truly raw, single-origin honey.
Every jar of High Uinta is a reflection of the mountains, the season, and our belief that healthier landscapes create healthier bees.
