We are planning our first "Hee Haw for Health" event on our Donkey Dairy in Luther, Oklahoma for November 2nd, 2019, and we desperately need your help!

We have created some seriously ingenious ways for you to be a part of blessing families, and have some fun doing it!

OPTION #1: Donate a Stick Donkey for a Child ($44.00)

We have a group of amazing volunteers giving their time to craft stick donkeys for every sick child that comes to this event. When you donate towards one of these stick donkeys, we will put your name and a note for the child on the donkeys tag. (Please include your note for the child with your order.)

OPTION #2. Donate a Practitioner Tent and Camp Out at the Donkey Dairy! ($400)

Donate $400 to purchase a wall tent for the event. We will craft a plaque with your name (or your child's name, or your business name, or your dog's name, you pick the name) outside the tent, to honor your donation. AND, you can come camp out for a weekend in your honorary tent at the Donkey Dairy! Donate enough for 5 tents, and you can bring your friends! Make sure you include your contact information so we can contact you with available weekends for you Donkey Dairy Camp Out experience!! (Expect farm noises. It's part of the experience!)

For an additional $25 per person, we will provide homemade paleo muffins, eggs, and donkey milk shots for breakfast, or you can choose a large Smoothie made with local quail eggs and organic fruit, and a paleo muffin. Delivered to your campsite.

Option #3: Donate funds for a Grain Bin and get your name on a plaque outside, and a 2 night stay in the Grain Bin at the Donkey Dairy (or a tent, you pick.) $850

We are purchasing old grain bins and transforming them into practitioner spaces in our woods. Your donation will help us purchase the grain bin, take it apart, transport it to our woods, put it back together, and give it new life! The grain bins will be unique, fun spaces for children who typically suffer with extremely debilitating anxiety about seeing doctors to have a free session in a non-threatening environment! Those who donate the funds for a grain bin will get their name (or their business name) on a plaque outside the bin, to honor their gift, and a 2 night stay in their grain bin OR a Glamping Tent. Make sure you include your contact information in the order notes so we can contact you with available weekends for you Donkey Dairy Camp Out experience!!

And transform it into something more like....this.

More about the Hee Haw for Health Event:

This event will be FREE for all families with children affected by these and other childhood diseases or disabilities, as well as any volunteers and their families. Since many of these children are immune compromised, we will not be allowing the general public to attend, unless they have volunteered to help or donated to help make this a reality. 😉(We’re not above bribery for a good cause.)

We are in the process of arranging key speakers to share their knowledge and expertise in these fields. The producers at KOCO News 5 have expressed that they hope to be here to cover this event, and we will be reaching out to other media as well. We hope this will be a way to bring awareness to PANDAS, ASD, and other health issues in a positive, hope filled environment.

It is our hope that medical students, as well as those currently practicing, will attend this event, learn from the presentations, and meet some of the families affected by these diseases, and as a result, diagnose more children accurately in the future. Our second goal is to introduce those practicing traditional western medicine to some of the best in holistic medicine, and create a bridge of mutual understanding between the two. We are inviting an herbalist, acupuncturist, homeopath, kinesiologist, osteopath, chiropractor, dietician, etc. to volunteer their time and donate their day to these children in a stress free environment on the farm.

Select practitioners will have a private space in our woods to see children throughout the day, and some will have a table in a shared space. Although we realize that no one has done an event like this before, and there are a myriad of logistics to overcome (as well as some pretty serious budget constraints!) the more families we meet through this journey, the more it becomes apparent that most of them cannot afford even the initial consultation with many of the practitioners they desperately need to see. Many alternative practitioners charge $1,000 for an initial consultation. Statistically, most families spend an average of $100,000 just getting proper treatment. Worse, insurance doesn't cover the alternative treatments that are showing results for our children.

It is our hope that this event will be a day to fill in that gap and show families that there are practitioners that care more about seeing children heal than their bottom line.

Oh, and get to love on some baby donkeys. And take a ride on a Mammoth donkey. And build-your-own stick donkey. And eat some amazing healthy food. And make some new friends who get it.

If you're short on mula, but have other talents to give, please sign up on our volunteer at the donkey dairy page, or join the Facebook Group "Hee Haw for Health-Planning Committee."

God bless!
From all of us, and these families.

PS. We're not a non-profit. In the tax write off sense of the words...So, this is not a write off, but it is a blessing.
